Making of: “ON-GAKU:Our Sound”

ON-GAKU: Our Sound is a rock tale of bad high school boys based on Hiroyuki Ohashi’s Ongaku to Manga (Music and Manga), published by Ohta Publishing. The production took over 7 years to complete and the number of drawings is over 40,000. To dynamically express the climax scene of the outdoor music festival, they had a live concert with musicians and audiences. The film didn’t use CGI, and was not made with a group work. Everything has become an unprecedented in the production of this full-length animation. In this program, director Kenji Iwaisawa and producer Tetsuaki Matsue are invited to have a making-of talk.
