Tomoko Ono (1976, Sapporo) has been working as Chief Director for New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival (Chitose, Hokkaido) since the first edition. She has also planned many screening events of independent movies, animated films, and workshops in Hokkaido. She is the coordinator of Sapporo International Art Festival 2017 (Sapporo, Hokkaido), the coordinator of Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2024 (Tokyo), the product manager of Sapporo International Art Festival 2024 (Sapporo, Hokkaido) and more.
IWASAKI Hirotoshi

Hirotoshi Iwasaki(born 1981, he/him) is video artist using experimental animation, graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with Doctor’s degree in Fine Arts 2019. His research theme is about the co-presence of movements of rotoscoping, and also memory and creation through tracing. He received Grand Prix non-narrative short at Holland Animation Film Festival 2015. As a commissioned work, he created animations for the Calvin Klein, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and some documentary films.

A researcher of animation history. Editor-in-chief of the short animation web media "tampen.jp". Distributed Xi Chen's "Chicken of the Mound" in Japan (under the name of tampen.jp). Assisted in planning Xi Chen's first solo exhibition in Japan "Mythos in Ink: A Symphony of Creatures and Contradictions" (CALM & PUNK GALLERY). In addition, he promotes the appeal of animation from various angles through a wide range of activities, including screenings of independent animations, event planning and management, and writing.

NAGATA Takeshi, MONNO Kazue [TOCHKA]

In 1998, they formed the filmmaker/creative duo "TOCHKA". They invented the animation production method "PiKA PiKA", which combines the techniques of long exposure photography and stop motion animation. By using light to draw lines in the air, anyone can create animation. TOCHKA's fields of activity range from experimental animation to contemporary art.
Their film "PiKA PiKA Lightning Doodle Project" won the Grand Prix in the Lab Competition at International Short Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand 2008. Their film "TRACK" won the Grand Prix in the non-narrative short category at Holland Animation Film Festival 2016
NIHEI Sarina

Sarina Nihei (she/her) is a freelance animation director from Japan. Being obsessed with Estonian animation, she decided to pursue a career in animation. She is a graduate of London's Royal College of Art. Her graduation film from the RCA, 'Small People with Hats', won prizes at festivals around the world including the Ottawa International Animation Festival, HAFF, and British Animation Awards. Specialising in hand-drawn animation, she loves to make surreal stories.

Born in Fukuoka prefecture, Japan in 1972. Graduated from Kyushu Institute of Design, and finished Image Forum’s workshop. He has published animation and media art works since 2000, such as “U-SA-GUI”, “Scripting Ghost”, “Room with a view – a story concerning borders or skin”, “ombre jack”, “DIGITAL-CINECALLIGRAPHY” and so on. An associate professor at Hokkaido University of Education at present.

President, MONSTAR design Inc. After working in the web operation for Kodansha Magazine, Manabu joined a startup of mixi’s Monster Strike as a character director. He has also worked as a producer for various events utilizing Japanese TV anime series. Most recently, he has been collaborating with anime series, which have allowed him to create products that have churned out quite the hype. No matter the extent of his creativity and imagination, the world waits with anticipation for what he has yet to produce.

Asuka Yotsumoto is an animation producer at ROBOT COMMUNICATIONS INC., a film production company based in Tokyo. Her production credits include a lot of animation films, such as branding movies, advertisements and TV programmes for children such as NHK ETV "Otoppe”, "What is Normal, anyway?”, and ”Blue•Yellow”. She has also produced exhibition movies for SNOOPY MUSEUM TOKYO, etc.
