STATEMENT
1920 x 1080 — a space once entered by countless characters. Though their footsteps spread across most of its cities, islands, and pixels, they never reached its end. Within this space, they experienced the very heights of every emotion, and could return to the past without limit. At the same time, they struck a bargain with the devil: they had to attend closely to their every gesture, so that the movements appearing on the screen might seem perfect.
Yet how could the devil ever deal with them sincerely? Each time, they believed they might mend the discontent and mistakes of the past, but what they did not know was that every memory would fade with the screen’s darkening, drifting into the air above the theater. And when the screen lit up again, everything returned as if it had been yesterday once more.
This sharing will raise questions to the characters of Half Asleep and Sliver Cave. Would they take an interest in one another? Would they be curious about the world beyond the screen? How do they perceive the spaces, bodies, and materials within these two films? And does the setting of the films, for them, feel like entering a Rules horror...?
