Filmmaker’s Statement
I wanted to use natural motifs such as ripples, water droplets, and the moon to express the divine energy of the festival and a pure sense of admiration for the works. By transforming hand-drawn 2D animation into three-dimensional, realistic water through AI, I attempted to achieve what has long been a challenge—“bringing water to life.” At the same time, I intentionally reduced the resolution and frame rate of the AI-generated imagery, and crafted the music to evoke a simple, primal quality, aiming to create an atmosphere where warmth and sharpness converge in the spirit of the festival.
