We’d gladly announce the official selection for the NEW CHITOSE 30 Seconds Animation in competition at the New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 2024. From 172 films submitted to this category, 8 Films are selected. The selected films will be broadcast for a specific period (From October 6 to November 5, 2024 *Scheduled) on digital signage throughout the airport facility at New Chitose Airport. One of these films will receive the award during the festival. Thank you very much for many submissions!

NEW CHITOSE 2024 is excited to announce the official selection for the FEATURE FILMS in competition. From 43 films submitted from 17 countries/regions, 6 Films are selected. The films are screened in the New Chitose Airport Theater during the festival (November 1st-5th) and judged by the international jury. Statement;
Feature animations have flourished worldwide in quantity and quality like never before in recent years: it’s no exaggeration to say that they have reached their “golden age.” But at the same time, the unspoken rule of “how feature animations should be” is now being questioned. At our film festival, we aim to carefully hand-pick innovative and fresh works that boldly break out of the fixed ideas of feature animations with which the viewers are associated. Some of these films have already been widely screened domestically, but I believe you’ll be able to discover new charms in them as you watch them in our selection.
