Synopsis

In response to Max Cooper’s interview-based album, this music video explores memory as a structure rather than a subject. Rotoscoped live-action and fluid hand-drawn animation transform recorded reality through imagination, creating a layered space where past and present coexist. Conceived to be revisited by the director and his child, the film reflects on how time reshapes experience.

HIRAOKA Masanobu

HIRAOKA Masanobu is a Japanese animation director based in Tokyo, a member of CAVIAR and founding member of mimoid. His fluid, tactile line work explores memory, time and unstable perception. He has worked on anime including Made in Abyss and Chainsaw Man, and collaborated with artists such as Battles, Flying Lotus and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
