Synopsis

In a terrarium-like world where two color-coded families live, a mother buys a gift chosen by her daughter. But instead of bringing it home, she carries it to the neighbor’s door. A man opens. The two adults disappear behind the door, while the daughter watches. From that small act of giving, the boundary between the families begins to soften. A glass, a spoon, and Sugar Water repeat like a ritual, until sweetness becomes something mixed, hidden, and impossible to separate again.

CHEN Xi

CHEN Xi (b. 1985, China) is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist whose work creates fictional worlds exploring contemporary and personal experiences. He has independently created four feature-length animated films, alongside shorts, paintings and watercolors. His work has competed at major international festivals including Annecy, Ottawa and New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival.
