PERIMETRON - retrospective

This program presents a retrospective screening of PERIMETRON's most representative works, selected by the creative team itself. SASAKI Shu, OSRIN, and KANBE Yuhei will join the program to discuss PERIMETRON's creative approach.

STATEMENT (SASAKI Shu)

PERIMETRON is a creative team made up of creators from different fields.
Whether in our early works produced entirely in-house or in our collaborations with various animators, the process felt to us less like “co-creation” than a fusion of creative forces. Rather than following a linear path toward completion, ideas and craft collide and intermingle around a single concept, accumulating in no fixed order until, before we know it, they have formed a mountain. This time, the three of us hope to discuss the experimental process shaped by our painstaking, hands-on approach and by the animators who worked alongside us.

GUEST PROFILE

: SASAKI Shu

Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1991. Creative director and producer. A member of the creative label PERIMETRON since 2016, SASAKI works across disciplines and roles—including film, spatial design, fashion shows, and narrative development—from planning through direction. For MILLENNIUM PARADE, a project exploring the sound of Tokyo from a global perspective, he contributes to its creative direction through visual production, storytelling, and provocative communication. He is also involved in visual production for the band FCO. and performs as its bassist. Moving between what lies behind the scenes and what appears on the surface, and between fiction and reality, he continues to pursue his creative practice.

: OSRIN

Director and filmmaker. Born in 1990, OSRIN studied design at Nagoya University of the Arts. His wide-ranging practice encompasses film production, live performance direction, art direction, and product design.

: KANBE Yuhei

A member of PERIMETRON. After connecting with fellow member OSRIN, KANBE first became involved with the team in 2017, working on the live show direction for Daiki Tsuneta Millennium Parade (DTMP) at STUDIO COAST. He officially joined PERIMETRON in spring 2018 and currently supports the team’s creative output as a 3DCG artist and visual editor.
