NEW CHITOSE TAS:
Emerging Creators Showcase -
Special Guest: POLYGON PICTURES

This program presents new projects by creators participating in the NEW CHITOSE AIRPORT Takeoff Animation Seminar (also known as NEW CHITOSE TAS), a support program for emerging creators. We invite you to discover this new generation of artists based in Japan and follow their future work.

The program will open with a guest from Polygon Pictures presenting a pitch for “On the Killing Road,” a project in Film Frontier’s Feature Animation Creator Support initiative.

ISHIGAMI Haruna Japan

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 2005. She graduated from the Fine Arts Course in the Department of Crafts at Hokkaido Otoineppu Art and Craft High School in 2024. She is currently enrolled in the New Media & Image major in the Department of Design and Craft at Aichi University of the Arts, where she specializes in Animation Expression Studies.

TAKAHASHI Lyota Japan

After graduating from the Department of Film and Media at Tohoku University of Art and Design in 2018, TAKAHASHI joined a camera manufacturer. His work spans product promotional videos, music, and other media, and he currently works as a generalist. As a freelancer, he also produces works using 3DCG, with a particular focus on experimental approaches. His graduation film “Anywhere.” has received recognition in Japan and internationally, including the Matsumoto Toshio Prize at ISCA 2018. His work “Echoed Places No.01” has been selected for this year’s NEW CHITOSE Digital Signage Competition.

MIKAMI Melmo Japan

Born in Tokyo in 2003. She graduated from the Department of Information Design at Tama Art University and is currently enrolled in the Department of Animation at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts.

Sakutaro Japan

An animation compositor working with After Effects on films, music videos, and commercials. Sakutaro also has experience developing line-processing techniques and serving as a director of photography.

KOMIYAMA Kozue Japan

She graduated from the Department of Integrated Design at Tama Art University in 2020. While working full-time, she continues to explore visual communication across different media, including animated short films and comics.

Film Frontier

Film Frontier “Feature Anime Creators in Progress” supports international development for feature-length animation projects involving young creators, with the aim of the creators being actively engaged to facilitate growth and broader international knowledge.

INOUE Tomofumi
INOUE Tomofumi

An animation director and storyboard artist. After working as a hand-drawn animator and gaining experience at several video production companies, he joined Polygon Pictures. While balance creating independent works, he has expanded his career into commercial projects, including storyboarding for the Netflix series Mech Cadets (2023).
His early independent shorts, Eggs (2014) and Eggs in the Kitchen (2015), gained international recognition, screening at prestigious festivals such as the Cannes Film Festival (Short Film Corner) and the Fantasia International Film Festival. His latest directorial work, the short animation TRUST (2025), has achieved international acclaim, with official selections at SIGGRAPH 2025 and the 30th LA Shorts International Film Festival, as well as a screening at Comic-Con International (SDCC) 2026.

MIURA Moka
MIURA Moka

She joined Polygon Pictures after graduating from the School of Global Japanese Studies at Meiji University. After building a solid foundation in the industry as a production coordinator and production manager for various commercial works and game animations, she launched her career as a producer with the studio’s original title, Trust (2025). The short animation has achieved international acclaim, earning official selections at SIGGRAPH 2025 and the 30th LA Shorts International Film Festival, alongside a screening at Comic-Con International (SDCC) 2026.
